Bronze age oak coffin graves archaeology and dendro dating
The term cal BP means the number of years before 1950 and can be directly compared to calendar years. These values should correspond exactly to normal historical years BC and AD. If a computer program is used to calibrate dates, include the name and version number of the program when reporting calibrated ages. Calibrated dates should be reported using the latest available international calibration curve (currently Int Cal09). It is not required to include the date of access/retrieval date or database information for electronic sources.
If several papers by the same author and from the same year are cited, a, b, c, etc.
Captions of figures and photographs should be typed in full on a separate list headed ‘Captions of Illustrations’.
Maps, diagrams and figures should be provided as separate files duly numbered.
To investigate the broader pattern of wool provenance, textile manufacturing and trade practices, strontium isotope and organic dye analyses were conducted on textiles from a variety of selected burial contexts.
Strontium isotope analysis revealed that at least 75 per cent of the Bronze Age wool samples originated outside present-day Denmark.
For photographs, the photographer’s name should similarly be given or other suitable acknowledgement of source.
